Artwork Description

Oil on canvas board, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

I am currently working on paintings depicting stills from the recently colourised footage of the last captive Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) at Hobart Zoo.
I hope to show a more expressionistic and ragged look for the creature with background or complimentary colours that capture the mood and ongoing enigma of the officially extinct marsupial.
The artwork was completed using oils and etching with a palette knife- an approach which I have previously used when painting thylacines.
