Another piece from my native flower series, I wanted to capture the weeping nature of the Silver Princess flower by using a long canvas to emphasise how the flowers beautifully drape and cascade back towards the ground. The work signifies the changes in season, as the last standing flower still blooms, the shadowy gum nuts remind us of what was, and what will be again. The pastel colours chosen are soft and airy representing the soft morning light on a calm morning. Heavy and textured acrylics bring the flower off the canvas. Finished and framed in raw Tasmanian Oak.
