Artwork Description

Progression of the senses - light, awareness, breath, fabric, movement. Differing textures of paint and their application evoke the feelings of the physical world around us and our place within it - surfaces, climate, place. A watery, swirling brushstroke is contrasted with printed bands and a thicker luminous mark of pale grey/blue.

Brushstrokes are left raw and immediate recording my presence in the work. Their abstraction invites a collaboration with the viewer to complete a mood or experience that is individual to each person.
