Summer days, gelato in the sun. Soles hot from the tarmac and cold behind the eyes. This work has layers of gestural brushstrokes in textured paint.

Light, energy, emotion - I am interested in visual perception and visual sensation. Nature inspired organic shapes and contrasts of colour and texture explore themes of energy and place. Brushstrokes are left raw and immediate recording my presence in the work. Their abstraction invites a collaboration with the viewer to complete a mood or experience that is individual to each person.
