'Jacarandas on Milson Park' is inspired by my local neighbourhood Kirribilli, which has become famous for its jacaranda street. Every spring, McDougall Street changes into a purple canopy of flowers which brings tourists from near and far. As a local, I have seen the flowers bloom every year and wanted to capture them against the beautiful Milson Park, as the flowers freshly fallen on the ground are often just as stunning as when they are on the tree. This painting has been created for the jacarandas lovers out there, and based on the amount of people each year on McDougall Street, I know there are many!
