ABOUT FLORA AUSTRALIS

A whimsical drawing in richly pigmented pencil, drawn from my imagination, this piece has traditional country charm, with an Australian bent.

I do love budgies! So this little fellow was placed upon a ginger jar, next to some Australian flora. I enjoyed blending the decorative theme of chinoiserie (ginger jars) with Australian iconic elements.
The crumpled tablecloth adds delightful texture and interest.
I have added a complimentary oak-look frame to the piece to keep this artwork safe in transit. The Perspex sheet offers further UV and dust protection to the already protective acrylic coating on the surface of the painting.
Ready to hang, with wire across the back, this work comes with a certificate of authenticity.
