Artwork Description

Watercolour on paper

Signed on the front.

"Flannel Flowers" by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting and requires framing to hang.

Flannel Flowers grow abundantly on the headland nearby. There's a sea of white in the Spring time and a yearly treat for me. I've pressed some of the foliage and refer to it, when I paint these treasured little beauties.
I'm really pleased with the suggested fuzziness on some of the flowers, as they have such a velvetty feel. The foliage is silvery green and a bit fuzzy too. If you're a Flannel Flower lover, I hope you feel them through the painting, as I do.

Mission: I strive to express emotion in my artwork and hope it resonates with you too. I hope that it evokes a positive feeling of joyful peace and that it brightens up a special spot in your home. My style is a combination of looseness and detail, allowing watercolour to do its magic and then adding some detail bringing the subject to life.

Images:  The painting has been professionally scanned depicting the colours as true as possible.
