I find inspiration in coiours and textures throughout nature. I take photos to record light reflecting on surfaces and then focus in on small aspects to start my art process. Little details often trigger my visual interest such as a beautiful banksia in full bloom. The resulting artwork is an impressionist approach depicting a scene from Melbourne's Botanical gardens. I use acrylic paint on gallery quality canvas. The artwork is sprayed with a glaze varnish to protect and enhance the colours.
