Artwork Description

Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

There is something about boats! I was inspired to paint these boats in Palmers Channel because of the amazing reflections in the still water. Such a peaceful scene!

Pandanus palm with sunlit leaves and curving branches, reaching out over the curling waves in the aqua ocean below.Light behind the top of a breaking wave with foam trails in the water below, and a distant view of the Lover's Point Headland at Yamba. It is a moody overcast day and a woman in a blue dress is enjoying the feel of the shallow water around her ankles as she paddles in the small waves near the shore. Behind her is a rocky platform with a hint of green seaweed along the top of the rocks. This painting depicts a flowing waterfall cascading down the leafy rocks in Lamington National Park. There is a cool feeling in the shadows and the light catches on the top of the waterfall and in the ripples below.
