My family have visited Emerald Beach on the north coast of NSW every year for 6 years now for an annual holiday. A haven for us, where the peaceful beauty washes over us every time we arrive. I used a photo taken by my husband on one of his many early morning runs as inspiration for this painting.

The ‘LOVE’ seat is an iconic fixture on the grassy hill just before you hit the sand . Carved from logs by a local, it is hardly ever vacant as locals and visitors stream in and out, contemplating life, absorbing the serenity and watching the world go by.
