I often look at old buildings and wonder about their past lives. There is always a story. “Once upon a time” is the perfect expression for these little structures. They had purpose and a liveliness about them. Always needed, always in use. Long, hot summer days when everyone rushed in, rushed out, anxious to hit the surf. Bobby took pride in providing shelter and enjoyed listening to the chatter, the squeals of delight and the heady scent of sunscreen. He never minded the clothes being tossed around, or the wet towels piling up on the floor. He soaked it up, knowing that one day his walls would fall silent. Bobby longed for the good old days, but then again, don’t we all ?
