Being Curious

'Being Curious ' is essential in life and making art. To interpret realism and move in and out of abstraction is a natural choice for me in attempt to interest the viewers imagination. Painted in bold acrylic colours onto canvas and maintaining a sense of depth with subtle tonal contrast, this piece is ready to hang in a white floating frame.

I currently live in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I grew up on a farm in the beautiful Yarra Valley where my appreciation of nature and the elements developed into the driving force in my art. I have always enjoyed painting. I find it relaxing and like my own form of meditation. I paint with acrylics onto canvas and quite often use a combination of brush and pallet knife in my work.
I love the challenge of trying to interpret the relationships of light and colour in what we see in nature.
