Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
My Monopoly series takes the classic imagery of the vintage board game and gives it a twist, through thick layers of paint, expressive brushwork, splatter and drips. The text and images are often altered to give new meaning, relating to classic movies, music, or current affairs. This one is inspired by Megan Thee Stallion’s song Money Good, and it can be read as silly satire, escapism, or a cautionary tale (he’s gleefully sliding down a pile of money, but he’s got to crash eventually, right?)
This painting is ready to hang without needing to be framed - the sides are painted black, and it has a gloss varnish.
For lovers of pop music,, pop art, and classic design.
