Still Selling Art | Still Shipping | Still Supporting Artists πŸ’™

In these uncertain times, our community’s health, safety and wellbeing are our number 1 priority.

With this in mind, we wanted to keep you updated on the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation here at Bluethumb. We’re following all the necessary precautions and our approach is to be proactive and on the front foot.

The good news is that being an online business, we’re one of the lucky ones that can continue to trade normally. Despite the shutdowns and border closures, freight and home deliveries are considered essential services and will remain open.

We’re not only open, but helping more artists sell art than ever during these challenging times. In a recent article by The Guardian, we reported an increase in Indigenous art sales, which came at a crucial time for remote art centres. Writer Paul Daley noted:”When remote First Nations communities went into lockdown, most community art centres that partner with Bluethumb closed due to the absence of tourists and an incapacity to move the art listed on the website.”

Our PR Manager Freddy Grant explained our role in facilitating this without using our gallery: β€œTo help counter this, we offered art centres the opportunity to send consignments of artworks to our houses as we were and still are working from home.”

still supporting artists

Grungle working hard from home.

Our awesome team are working from home and are not only used to doing this, but well-equipped, so you shouldn’t notice any changes to our services.

Working from home, or on their own in a studio, is also something our artists are very used to. Many are more inspired than ever and they continue to list incredible new works every day.

Still supporting artists like Indigenous artist Karen Lee, who’s working from her home studio.

However, it can be really tough staying at home with so much uncertainty in the world right now, so it’s important to stay connected and find community where we can. Connect with artists and art fans alike on our Instagram and share smiles, joy and positivity during a challenging time.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay connected. These are testing times, but our incredible community will get through this together.

We’re still selling art, still shipping and most importantly still supporting artists and our Indigenous art centre partners.

just wondering how I may go about listing my daughter’s artwork,
she has plenty of different styles, some inspired by Tim Burton, some by another Fitzroy artist , whose dark work was quite astounding.
She has painted iconic rock stars from portraits, st.kilda beach, plenty of original dark works, with alien type figures and all sorts of other stuff
her work is quite unique thats for sure
    cheers

I just purchased a painting by Tara Madigan for $290 – but need to advise that my Telstra email address is down and I cannot receive mail through Telstra. Can you confirm my purchase on line through Bluethumb?
    Many thanks,

    June Callil
