A Moment In Time

This work is part of a collection where I have sought inspiration from Masters who inspire me - I set myself the challenge during lockdown to paint some flowers with different influences. So this is a bunch of poppies from a different perspective and some Matisse. Oil and cold wax medium gives a textured candle like finish.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
