This work was inspired by a little cutie I met at the market. Worked first by a stick dipped in ink to keep the lines loose and dynamic and then oil wash to keep transparency to the image.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
