Extra Ordinary

Across the road is a paddock of horses and a quirky little sway back pony who seems to glow in the dark. He became my muse for a work for exploring the finding the extra ordinary amongst the ordinary. The cold wax leaves a matte candle like finish.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
