Hazels Day

Cornflowers are so delicate and bundled into old milk bottles with some lavender made a lovely table decoration for Hazel's Birthday. To keep the delicacy of the flower the paint has been applied in transparent layers leaving some of the wood surface to show through.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
