The scent of Jasmine was nearly overwhelming whilst working on this work. Such a delicate little flower that has a long reach. This work has a Japanese vibe in its simplicity and sense of completion. Delicate flowers and structure are showcased by the plain black vase.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
