Let It Be

This work captures the strength and beauty of the horses movement allowing the raw surface of the wood support to play a part in the painting. The pencil and ink drawing has been developed with oil paint at points of focus and then I ‘Let It Be’. This work was hung in the Mavis Little Artist Of The Year exhibition late last year. The sides are deep (5cm) and painted a satin black and the work is ready to hang. It may be difficult to find a frame deep enough if you choose to go that way. Prints available.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
