In this work I wanted bring the detail of ‘drawing’ into a contemporary style of painting with a limited palette. The end result leaves the viewer enjoying a sense of balance with the interest of the delicate flowers balanced with the glass jar. This is an A2 artists reproduction print on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
