Out Of The Blue

This work has been developed over the last year and is a treatise to the human spirit and our capacity to come through difficult seasons. We are more fragile than we often realize and more resilient than we know. Our capacity to choose kindness over hatred, love over spite, hope over despair, nobility over depravity feeds society and our humanity. We will come ‘Out Of The Blue’. Worked on a base of fiery red, the image was developed from a horse drawing course at a stud farm (this is Rock Sturdy a stallion who loved the attention of our group pad and pencils in hand) and was tehn worked with multiple layers of pigment and cold wax. Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
