Passing Time

One thing I have noticed with Greek culture is how they love to sit and watch. No phones or TV’s just the theatre of life. This is a small work but a punchy one managing to capture, space, contemplation and those beautiful colours of Greece in summer. Textured and faceted with its many layers with a matte candle like finish.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
