This is my niece who travelled with us to Greece. We were on an island cruise when I drew this. I wanted to capture the relaxing, sunny vibe. Grey oil underpainting, minimal use of colour allowing the raw canvas to show through

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
