Saturday Morning

Another work in a collection using a limited palette and areas of detail. This particular work captures the contemplative joy of a morning coffee in my lovely copper pot and the mental challenge of a crossword which made lovely reflections.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
