The Dance Of Kale

Kale as a floral arrangement was a surprise to me, perhaps I'm just behind the times. It was lovely and as it aged in the vase I kept thinking - oh! I like that! So the painting had a bit of a journey. Cold wax medium gives a matte candle like finish.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
