The light coming through a poppies unfurling petals is mesmerizing. The delicate papery petals portrayed with translucency to tell the story of the power and fragility of this little plant. Worked first with graphite pencil then rubbing the wax and paint onto the surface. This work is a favorite amongst my art friends.
