This work was done with reference to the early Australian Impressionists who did works for exhibition on cigar box lids so it’s a little work. The inspiration comes from some sketches done down at Tarwin Lower, on the way to Venus Bay, Victoria. It was winter, cold and clear with beautiful breakthrough light and rain. This work is framed as pictured above.
