Jonquils are bright little reminders that winter is about to make way for spring. Potent in their perfume and jaunty in their aspect they’re a fun flower. I used cold wax medium for texture and transparency it also gives a lovely Matt candle like finish. Prints available on request.

Bronwen is a Melbourne based artist. She paints mainly with oil, sometimes adding a cold wax medium. Her paintings are developed from observational sketches made on site and then revisited in the studio. Whilst remaining largely figurative, she pays homage to contemporary art theory. Subjects include landscape, figure, still life and animals studies.
