This is another painting in my Conversations With The Creek series exploring the changing nature of the creek running through our property. The creek is usually dry or just a trickle, but when it rains the water runs down the creek at quite a pace, gathering force from upstream. Each weather occurrence brings something new to explore and influence.
Debris from the abundance of overhanging trees riding the whitewater rapids during periods of rain, slow dancing as the water dissipates and left tangled in tight conversation long after the water has deserted.
Add some light and we are indulged with amazing shadows and reflections.
I am inspired by shapes, texture, and line. My aim with this painting was to convey movement and energy.
