About

My works give a voice to the voiceless. I am a wildlife conservation artist inspired by endangered species and the detrimental impact humans are having on our precious environment. I have always had a great love of animals and nature, stemming back to my childhood on a hobby farm in McLaren Vale. As an adult I am now greatly concerned in the conservation of wildlife and their habitat throughout not only Australia but also the world. I feel more needs to be done to preserve these great creatures for future generations. I would like to use my art to subtly educate people on the decline of our great animal species and donate part proceeds of the sale of any work to an animal conservation organisation.

I work in both charcoal pencil and oil paint. My work is highly detailed and I adopt a realistic style approach. When approaching my work I want the viewer to relate to the animal, see the world through their eyes and resonate with the struggles these creatures are facing due to habitat loss, illegal poaching etc. I strive to create empathy in my works. If you can empathise with an animal you are more likely to care and want to make a difference. If my works can create a discussion and encourage change, I feel they are successful.
