Father and Son is an original depciting a friendly race between two Ford Mustangs. One a classic 'Bullit' style and the other modern. The tile infers that due to the age difference these two could be considered father and son.
Who Am I? -
I am a self taught Brisbane artist specialising in automotive art. Before becoming an artist I studied animation and cartooning, hence why my work has a slight pop art style and a playfulness about it.
Why do I draw cars and motorbikes?
Who doesn't have a memory of a long road trip with the family and who doesn't remember their first car? The sensation of freedom and possibilities as you left the driveway for the first time. Cars aren't just a form of transportation, they are where memories are made. I try to capture this in my art.
Why do I use markers?
Markers were originally intended as a drafting medium, I really enjoy the contrast of my loose cartoonish style with the rigidity of the techniques needed to use them.
