This is a portrait from my series of PNG village people that I had a special request for. I have a cousin working in Papua New Guinea and I am entranced by the colourul costumes worn by the tribes people for their Sing Sings. They are very creative in incorporating feathers, flowers, wood, shells, bones and plants into their costumes, making a wonderful array of colours and expression for the festivities. Each tribe has their own identity in their costume, varying greatly from tribe to tribe.
