Caring for our loved ones is a privilege we have. Whilst I live on the other side of the world I was nevertheless fortunate to spend the final weeks with my mother,  sharing her hospital room to the very end.  It was hard and heart braking, as it is for all who go through it. But there were many precious moments. I was indeed privileged. If this work goes to another home, with the message of the importance of caring for our loved ones,  that's ok. I know it has gone to someone who does care.I called the work Camping, but it is really up to the viewer where their imagination takes them. I have reignited my interest in water colours, after some decades in oils. A refreshing experience, the water decides its own journey, with a little help from me. As long as I do not attempt to overdo the work, results can be quite pleasing to the eye. As I found this one, my first water colour for such a long time.Drawing is a pleasure. Often, depending on the time of day, accompanied with a relaxing drink. This is one of those drawings.  Simple mark making on paper to play with charcoal and water. Playing with mark making and shapes, allowing them to form themselves. This little one decided to have The Parliament house shape with one sitting member present. An exercise of imagination....
