Piña Coco Tequila, Chica Bonita is a contempoary and modern style abstract impression.

Abstracted forms and marks represent cacti, agave and other plant life most common in Mexico. The 'Piña' in Mexico is used to describe the heart or bulb of the agave because it so closely resembles a pineapple which I have also used throughout the expression. Of course this is also what is harvested to produce Tequila.

Various techniques were used to create varied thin watercolour marks, to palette knife and brush strokes of thicker textured paint. I have purposely used a predominant palette of greens to represent the agave and cacti, or the foliage and Mexican desert plants.
