Artwork Description

Mixed Media on canvas, ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

“Emerging silently and slowly from the hills of gold granite tors are sent tumbling about.” Granite tors split and break as the eucalyptus trunks push from the ground. This scene is inspired by the ever evolving landscape of the gold country near Ophir NSW. The burnished hue of the cured grasses and the remnants of the drought affected trees adorn the hillsides. The natural textures of the mulberry papers and the tones and textural technique of the watercolours in this work would add warmth and interest to a room.
