Awakening is part of my new series of atmospheric paintings. It reveals a beautiful scene of the sun rising between trees and reflecting its glow in a reflection on the lake in the foreground. There is a softness in the foliage and outlines which creates a gentle ambience. The colours are rich and autumnal with gold and burgundy tones.

In her abstracts, she often paints intuitively, incorporating dramatic movement and organic forms to describe unseen places of beauty and mystery.
