Acrylic on wood
Signed on the back.
I don’t know that a lot of them have survived, but there are some wonderful office buildings built from the mid-20th Century that are scattered across Sydney, including in the larger suburban hubs. This painting was not inspired by any particular building, but more a general nod to their eclectic design made up of concrete, glass and other materials, and featuring interesting colour choices.
Sides are painted pink and dark olive, as seen in the additional photos.
Varnished and signed on the back.
The painting is on a cradled wood panel, so it is similar to a stretched canvas in terms of its structure.
