This painting was inspired by the design of art nouveau enamel jewellery. I wanted to convey a sense of history and character with the colours and textures.
The painting is on a cradled wood panel, so it is similar to a stretched canvas in terms of its structure.
The second painting in my listing shows the painting hanging on the wall, using only one nail.
