Roses is a contemporary piece and part of my 'Symbiosis' series. The series is inspired by an idea of bringing our co-existence with nature together in a visual format by fusing the two together. During this process I was drawn to using the female form. My own experience as a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Wife and Friend has proven women to be healers, nurturers, resilient, life giving and inclusive. These are all qualities I feel our environment and humanity as a whole desperately needs to thrive and survive into the future.
