Artwork Description

Join the Queue 2016 - from my “Humanity and the Sea” ongoing series.
This series encompasses a fascination with the sea, it’s moods and its effects on us. My people gather, watch, wait, ponder the toing and froing of sea faring vessels. Some anticipate their boat’s arrival for long awaited journeys and adventures.

BIO
Chris is a full time mixed media artist, with a BA Fine Arts (Painting) and has been exhibiting widely in solo, selected and group shows since 1985. Chris has won several awards, the most recent being -2023 WINNER Linden Postcard Show, The Nina Taylor Birthday Card Award and previously: 2017 RUNNER UP ANL Maritime Art Award 2016 WINNER (Dreamscape) Drawing Category Daylesford Art Show, Vic -Judge Victor Rubin, renowned Australian artist. 2015 WINNER (Life Series Vignettes 2014 "FAMILY") Lost In Sculpture, Indoor Award, Dunkeld, Vic - Judge Kirsten Paisley, Deputy Director, NGV Her 2016 solo "CONNECTIONS IN UNKNOWN SPACES" received widespread acclaim.
