Prompted by moving house and my studio, I am releasing selected works from my collection, Picnic Pointe 2003 is just one of these works.

A 2003 work from my COUCH SERIES where the couch symbolizes qualities of comfort, rest, recouperation, love and all that nurtures.

When I begin work I have a shred of an idea and work mainly from the subconscious thus echoing my life’s experiences.
I like to create a feeling visually intriguing allowing the viewer to bring their own perceptions to the works, to create their own dialogue or story.
I first began to use the collage as a drawing tool, a painting tool, creating texture and layers during the 80s. Incorporating text flowed as a consequence and became a springboard in in my work where the text becomes a subtext expanding on the initial idea of the work.
