This drawing depicts a feather, it’s small size is portrayed by a relatively large water droplet sitting precariously on the surface.
Whenever I’m studying a subject I do use artistic license to create composition, especially in lighting. When it comes to form though I am as truthful as I can be. I found in working with this feather that a good size drop always came to rest in this position along the shaft, and was a result of smaller drops running down to form one.
