My main inspiration to paint has always been flowers. My mother had a large garden bursting with blooms. My passion for all things floral extended into vintage china, chintz, paintings, decor and clothing.
I find flowers to be delightful and uplifting and hope they bring joy to others.
This painting reminds me of floral china, Persian design and chintzy fabric. A nod to beauty for its own sake and romance. I see it in a bedroom, living or dining room above a piece of furniture with a vase of roses, a pretty china tea set or a bottle of champagne and candles.
