Artwork Description

We were driving through this area on the way to Queenstown in Tasmania, at the time of sunset when I was captured by the majestic views of the mountains as we were crossing the bridge. There was no where to stop to take a photo and until I found a good spot to stop the light already changed. So I decided to paint this painting using some reference photos we took in the morning and my memory to paint the sunset.

This work was painted using a limited palette building it up using multiple glazes of very thin and transparent paint.

This painting is varnished for protection.
