Artwork Description

At the water’s edge, three girls stand side by side, their laughter mingling with the sound of crashing waves. They are united by the thrill of anticipation, eyes fixed on the distant swell of the ocean. As the tide begins to rise, they shift closer, their feet sinking into the wet sand, ready to embrace the rush of the incoming waves. The air is electric with possibility, and as the first big wave approaches, they exchange glances filled with a mix of exhilaration and camaraderie, knowing they’re about to ride the tide together.

Completed with a palette knife to create bold colour, movement and texture.

Artist Bio

Originally‚ I picked up the palette knife to loosen my painting technique. With a brush in hand‚ I was often tempted to agonise over the detail. I actually love the loss of control that the knife provides and the application of oil paint with its buttery texture.
