I painted this in the sun overlooking the sunflowers in our garden. Sunflowers symbolise happiness and vibrancy, they are warm and inviting . There is so much you could reflect on with sunflowers, but for me it’s their seeds … symbolic of new beginnings. It takes nourishment, the right timing and environmental conditions to grow. Some don’t take hold. That’s no big deal, that’s why there are many - don’t give up. Don’t ever give up in life. Painting the seeds was a reminder of having patience and hope to accept the “new me” after sustaining a traumatic brain injury. A good reminder of the importance of love, patience, and nurturing we all need in life.
