About this Curation

From at least Antiquity, textual sources including plays, poetry, fable, legend, folk lore and fairy tales have always provided a rich source of inspiration for artists. From creation stories through to modern works of literature and philosophy, these art works respond to a range of subjects and ideas at the heart of both written and verbal traditions.
