One of my favorites subjects to paint is the Jacaranda tree. During the spring of every year the Jacaranda trees in full bloom in Sydney. With such a beautiful spectacle like this I cannot restrain myself from painting them. Through the use of different perspectives and forms, I always attempt to depict the theme of the picture in my artistic creation.

Fervent evening skies overlook a line of lanky Eucalypts and mottled urban grass. A calculated block of nature obscures the gridded uniformity of suburban townhouses beyond. A scene soaked in berry pinks and purples: the glorious glow that sunset affords. Vigorous strokes suggest the conflict between designed suburban uniformity and the gravity of nature.
