Cherries are great to draw! Being dark and shiny, you can flood them with light without the shadows disappearing, so you end up with really shiny bits and subtle reflections. The stalks help to add directionality to the picture. Warm up the foreground and fade out the background so all the focus falls on the subject and there’s not much more that one could hope for.
